Exclusive use ONLY Abernethy Bunkhouse-Nethy Station provides an ideal and safe location as a base for school trips. Situated under one roof pupils can be well supervised.
In the centre of the Cairngorms National Park there is easy access to all forms of outdoor pursuits. There are simple walks on marked village footpaths, a ranger base, tigers, steam railway, Landmark Forest Park, watersports and many other activities.
Our many activity partners and local attractions can help take the hard work out of planning your expedition.
At the moment there is a Learning Travel Grant Scheme open to schools across Scotland as well as voluntary and community educational groups from in or close to the boundary of the park, enables applicants to apply for up to 75% of their travel costs up to a maximum of £200 from a funding pot of £4,500.
Many schools actually enjoy self-catering as they have the kitchen to themselves and it is all part of the trip but we can take the worry off your shoulders, if you wish!
Health & Safety – Nethy Station
We know how important Health and Safety is to school groups so to help you out we have created a Risk assessment for you.
Also, our short Fire Quiz gives you the opportunity to have a quick activity in the evening and the pupils learn about Fire Risks and the House itself.
