What You Get At Nethy House For The Basic Price?

Bedrooms: Each room has a basin & sleeps no more than 6 people mostly in triple bunks. 63 beds are available, although 52 is the comfortable maximum. The numerous public rooms allow great flexibility in the use of this house which lends itself to all sizes of group.

What You May Have To Pay For?

We provide a duvet & pillow for each bed and linen must be used with these. A Linen Pack is available, if ordered in advance, but does it add to the cost, especially of short stays. Alternatively, group members may bring a pillowcase and towels and either 1) a sheet and duvet cover, or 2) a sleeping bag.

A coin-operated, commercial sized washing machine & tumble dryer are supplied for your convenience.

There may be a charge levied for damage and cleaning on departure, if necessary.

What You Can Bring With You?

We have a ski store, with space for a large number of skis or bikes, luggage room, cold store & large drying room. Storage space is provided in the rooms with drawers and lockable lockers.

What You Can Eat?

We have found that most of our groups are very budget conscious. Therefore, we will buy the food for you to help yourselves to a simple breakfast of cereal and toast. You can take a piece of fruit and prepare your own sandwiches at breakfast time and we will prepare a 2-course evening meal for you. This means that extras, such as chocolate bars and drinks, may be purchased either before arrival or at the shop across the road. You have the use of a fridge.

We leave breakfast and your packed lunch ingredients out for you; we serve your evening meal and you wash up. We keep the kitchen clean and you have no pans!

However, you are still responsible for the cleanliness of the dining room along with the rest of the house!

What Other Facilities We Can Offer You?

The area set up as a bar can be stocked for you to run yourselves, even kegs of Real Ale! Due to changing licensing legislation we are unable to maintain a licensed bar but we have implemented some changes to ensure that you may still enjoy the atmosphere as it is ideal for group bonding and general enjoyment. We will simply be providing you with a list and you will refund any stock used. The money you put into the cash box can be used to repay us for what you have used, covering the admistrative fee, and this will still give you an opportunity to make a wee profit for your group.

An OHP, screen & slide projector are available. Group leaders are welcome to make an appointment to visit our own home where we are Wi-Fi'd and have a pc to catch up with their emails. Also, we can assist with your programme planning as we have contacts with a number of local activity providers and attractions. We can sometimes arrange special discounts.

What About Gas And Electricity?

We pride ourselves on setting a price & not asking for more from you on leaving! Therefore, we have restructured our pricing so that it is now two-tiered. From October to April inclusive, the heating will be included in the published price. In summer, the price will not include heating. If groups wish to have the heating on in summertime, there will be a charge of £1 per head, per night, up to a maximum of £50. In an effort to promote an 'environmentally friendly' attitude, and in keeping with the Green Tourism Scheme, we would expect leaders to monitor fuel responsibly during their stay.
